About Us

MYA is the acronym of Muslim Youth Academy. It was formed in 1992, when a group of parents and educators joined together to initiate some after-school activities on a regular basis. These activities were informal and active under the sponsorship of local organizations. In 1999, MYA was established as a non-profit organization in order to introduce an Islamic, independent, non-profit education and recreation organization, dedicated to fulfilling and advancing the educational, spiritual and physical needs of the Muslim youth. These goals have matured into an establishment of a full-time K-12 Islamic School, and in 2006, initiated the acquiring of property to support it. Our goal is to expand our current establishment, in order to accommodate our growing numbers in students and visions. The completed project will include an adjoining mosque, whereas it is the heart of the Muslim community and the focal point for worship, congregation, and education. We need your efforts to help make this dream a reality. We need your prayers, your support and your dollars. Giving for this purpose for the Sake of Allah is “sadaqa jaariya,” for those who intend to seek the reward from Allah, and this, insha’Allah will bring ongoing barakah to the donor. All Praises to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Due to His Mercy, He gave us the privilege of presenting this humble effort of acquiring and establishing an Islamic School for our Muslim community.
